Overview
This is the version that the site administrator owns.
Update (sometime in December 2022): I purchased AmpliTube 5 MAX.
End of update.
However, IK Multimedia seems to suggest using version 2.0 within AmpliTube 4.0. But when I install 4.0, many presets become unavailable, which is frustrating, so I continue to use version 2.0 as it is.
I use it together with the iRig HD, an audio interface designed for guitar. For a casual player like me, it already provides more than enough flexibility with its effects, amp simulations, and cabinet simulations.
People who can fully master 4.0 are impressive. Still, if I already have a specific setup I like while playing in 2.0, I sometimes switch to 4.0 and use it in a very focused way for that one setup.
When I want to experiment with presets or browse through various custom setups, I usually do that in 2.0. On the other hand, 4.0 has a convenient recording function, so I keep both versions installed.
